BDPA's mission is to bridge information technology (IT) and telecommunications competency gaps in urban and underserved communities.  is a local chapter serial publication (ISSN 1946-1429) published by BDPA's Washington, D.C. Chapter and particpating BDPA Chapters. Each newsletter  supports a chapter's mission in the National Capital Region (NCR) and other cities by providing news, events, and special articles. Topics cover technology, infocentric training, STEM programs, and educational outreach services for professionals and youth in underserved metropolitan areas.  BDPA's publications support national and global CS-STEM  initiatives aimed toward technical workforce development and economic empowerment.
